With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Jo VonCannon (Asheboro, North Carolina), who passed away on May 7, 2026 at the age of 94. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Betty Jo VonCannon to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband David VonCannon; her parents, John Clemons and Bessie Clemons; and her brother Jimmy Clemons. She is survived by: her daughters, Cindy VonCannon Myers and Rhonda VonCannon Roper (Steve); her grandchildren, Laura Wall (Bryan), Jacob Roper, Andrew Roper and Hannah Hutchinson (Zach); and her great grandchildren, Emersyn, Caleb and Scarlett. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and 2 first cousins.
A graveside service was held on Monday, May 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the New Hope Community Church Cemetery (4215 New Hope Church Rd, Asheboro, NC 27205).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Mountain Vista Health Park in Denton, NC, or New Hope Community Church, continuing Betty's legacy of generosity and care.
