It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brenda Sue Saunders of Asheboro, North Carolina, who passed away on May 9, 2026, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Spencer and Ethylene Spencer; her siblings, Barbara Miller and Van Spencer; and her great-nephew Edward Young.

She is survived by: her husband Jay Dee Saunders; her sister Janie Cox; her sister-in-law Carol Spencer; her aunt Shelby Jean Logsdon; her nieces, Sherri Young (Billy), Amy Bunch (Josh), Kimberly Pyrtle (Brandon), Amber Henson (Jeremy) and Lauren Abel (Damien); and her nephew Scott Spencer. She is also survived by husband, fur babies.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Brenda Saunders final expense fund where all funds will go toward assisting the family.
