She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Edgar Vrooman and Elizabeth Nora Starrs; her son David Ronald; and her brother Donald Peter Vrooman. She is survived by: her husband Veryl Elston; her children, Rhonda Oliver (Ray) of Apex, Jeff Elston (Christina) of Wilmington, Cindy Wagner (Dan) of Asheboro, Leah Wetherill (John) of Belle Haven, VA and Lisa Weaver (Allen) of Wake Forest; her brother Douglas Vrooman of Buffalo, NY; her grandchildren, Evan (Hannah), Drew, Chase Oliver (Jennifer), Mason Wagner, Zack, Isabella Elston and Ben Weaver (Mary); her great grandchildren, Preston, Ivy, Eden and Carter Oliver; and her grandchildren, Macy, Corbin, Kyleigh, Elise Bumgarner, Donna and Veryl.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ridge Funeral Home (908 Albemarle Rd, Asheboro, NC 27203).
