It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hobert Mabe of Asheboro, North Carolina, born in Rockingham, North Carolina, who passed away on May 28, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roosevelt Mabe and Sally Mae Tilley Mabe; his wife Vera Estelle Tilley Mabe; his son Allen Mabe; and his siblings, Irene, Mary, Vernon Mabe (Doc) and Johnny Mabe.

He is survived by: his children, Patsy Waddell (Lucky), Debbie Callahan, Clarence Mabe (Cindy) and Randy Mabe (Geneva); and his sister Georgia Thomas. He is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren seven great-great-grandchildren.

“So sorry for the loss of Hobert. Hobert had a kind soul and was loved by many. Mama and Hobert had many many happy yrs together. 14 yrs actually. He COVID took Hobert and Mama to another level in their life. I wish we would have known about the passing of Hobert so we could have said our final goodbye I know Hobert knew how much he was loved by our family.RIP HOBERT. WE LOVE YOU ALWAYS.
