She is survived by: her sons, Gregory Carter (Renee) of Asheboro and Christopher Carter (Brenda Starner) of Jamestown; her siblings, Sabrina Kennedy (Chris Black), Gregory Kennedy (Donna) and Rhonda (Tony Mashburn); her brother-in-law Joel Barnes; her grandchildren, Kennedy Carter, Jakob Carter, Kaitlyn Williamson, Hailey Williamson, Josiah Carter and Christian (Jennifer Carter); her great grandchildren, Lyla and Roland Carter; her grandchildren, Z'yerah, Clyde, Ellie and Atlas; her nephew Samuel (Sarah Barnes); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Cameron, Gracie and Austin Barnes; her nieces, Belinda Barnes and Sarah; her nephew Reid Kent; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Denali, Elowyn, Dakota and Holland; and her nieces and nephews, Molly Whitlock, Amber Reavis Fontaine, Benji, Jami Stanley, Jaron, Jennyfer, Kileigh, Cannon, Conni, Morganne Stanley, Caren Vaughn, Logan Jackson, Steven, George, Evan, Jade, Stephanie Mashburn, Seth, Kadine Kennedy, Shane and Kim Joyce.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ridge Funeral Home & Cremation Service (908 Albemarle Rd, Asheboro, NC 27203). A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Central Carolina Community Church (1128 N Fayetteville St, Asheboro, NC 27203).
