He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Woodard and Madeline Woodard; his children, Sue Lynch and Don Woodard; and his grandson James Woodard III.
He is survived by: his close friend Diane Staples Clark; his children, Rebecca Stansell (Russell Merrit) of Clinton, SC and James Woodard (Tammy) of Asheboro; his stepchildren, April Wilson of Level Cross and George Henry Clark (Angel) of Eden; and his brothers, Edward Woodard, David Woodard of Candor, NY and Bob Woodard. He is also survived by many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
