He was predeceased by: his parents, Dempsey Edward Gatlin and Esther Luther Gatlin; his wife Brenda Joyce Hunt Gatlin; and his brother Roger Gatlin. He is survived by: his daughters, Duree Auman (Charles) of Seagrove and Corrie Gatlin; his siblings, Ann Cranford (Tommy) of Asheboro, Donald Gatlin (Patty) of Seagrove and Mark Gatlin (Wendy) of Seagrove; and his grandchildren, Cade Auman, Jace Auman, Lawson Barnes and Tyler Barnes.
