He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gullett, Sr. and Bertha Wilson Allen; his son Rolando Blackmon; his sister Eartise "Elaine" Williams; and his sister-in-law Teretha Jones-Span.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Gullett; his children, Francina Gullett, Briana Gullett (Nikao Wallace), Janise "Alex" Gullett, Symonia Montgomery-Johnson and Zerick Blackmon (Doris Blackmon); his siblings, Orlando Ray Gullett (Frances) of Alabama, Sharon Williams (Johnny) of Alabama, Cletis Gullett (Carolyn) of Georgia, Kathy Gullett of Georgia and Janice Montgomery of Alabama; his grandchildren, Jamel Gullett, Gianna Gullett, Eden Gullett, Zedrick Blackmon Jr., Rayven Dear, DreShun Blackmon, Davion Cameron, Symone Townsend and Ykyra Westry; his great grandchildren, Camryn Wright, Sy'Kai Townsend, Zakai Jefferson and Zoey Lewis; his aunts, Annie Key of Ohio and Mary Lawrence of Ohio; his siblings-in-law, Tony, Sheila, Jimmie (Felicia), Christie, Delores (Kenneth), Cheryl, Donald (Tammy) and Leslie (Artie); and his lifelong confidant Dr. Alexander Arthur. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family politely requests that potted plants be sent.
