He was predeceased by: his parents, Carnie Charlie Hinson and Beulah Bescher Hinson; his former wife Brenda Ann Hinson; and his sisters, Glennie Hancock, Teresa Phillips, Lucille Johnson and Panzie Smith.
He is survived by: his son John Everette Hinson II (Erin); his wife Betty Peele Hinson; his stepchildren, Jason Moore (Dawn), Kristie L. Rich (Randy) and Karen D. Warren (Greg); his siblings, Betsy Leach, Evelyn Borrow (Autry), Harold Hinson (Joyce), Donald Hinson and Deborah Palmisano (David); his grandchildren, Rainy Hinson and Evie Hinson; his stepgrandchildren, William Eric Davis, Charlie Warren, Sasha Bryson (Chase), Felicia Rich, Trisha Rich, Harmony Rich and Gracin Rich; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Carter Bryson, Christian Bryson and Blakley Milligan.
