He was predeceased by: his parents, George Wilson Edmonds and Mary Nora Dunn; and his siblings, Hezekiah Edmonds, Vance Edmonds, Florence Morgan, Rena Hemstatler and Georgia Edmonds.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Leach Edmonds; his children, Pamela Ann Edmonds of Asheboro, Joe Lee Edmonds (Laura) of Concord and Gary Thomas Edmonds (Susan) of Asheboro; his grandchildren, Brandon Edmonds (Aleah) of Asheboro and Lauren Devilbiss (James) of Riverdale, MD; and his great grandchildren, Dawson Edmonds, Carter Edmonds, Elsie Edmonds, Farriss Edmonds and Alice Devilbiss.
