She was predeceased by: her parents, James Layne and Kate Baughn Layne; her son Joey Davis; and her sisters, Mildred Helms and Linda Vernon.
She is survived by: her son Andrew Davis; her brother James "Bud" Layne (Jianxiu Ye); and her pet Lilly. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
