He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Bryant Walker and Christine Ashworth Walker; his son Mickey L. Walker; and his stepdaughter Beth Cromer Jarrell. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Frye Walker; his children, Christina Walker Garrison (Neil), Julie Walker Overton and Johnny E. Walker; his stepson Christopher D. Cromer; his grandchildren, Carrie Overton, Amelia Garrison, Kaytlin Overton and Karlie Overton; and his caregivers, Gail, Amy, Tamara, Terri and Betty.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ridge Funeral Home & Cremation Service (908 Albemarle Rd, Asheboro, NC 27203). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
