She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Lewis and Maxine Craven Lewis; and her brother H. A. Lewis. She is survived by: her husband Donnie Lassiter; her goddaughter Jill Thomas (Chad) of Topsail Beach, NC; and her siblings-in-law, Becky Lewis of Kernersville, Linda Talbert (Jerry) of Asheboro and Larry Lassiter (Deloris) of Troy. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New Union United Methodist Church Cemetery (1293 Union Church Rd, Asheboro, NC 27205). Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 26th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the New Union United Methodist Church (1293 Union Church Rd, Asheboro, NC 27205).
