She was predeceased by: her parents, Hayes McDowell and Grace Gallimore McDowell; her husband Luther Owens; her grandson Tyler Chriscoe; and her brothers, Junior McDowell, Everette McDowell and Kenneth McDowell.
She is survived by: her daughter Kathy Chriscoe (Roger) of Asheboro; her grandson Chad Chriscoe; her great grandchildren, Grace Chriscoe and Brody Chriscoe; her sister Martha Bundy (Jimmy); and her sisters-in-law, Carole McDowell and Maggie McDowell. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Ridge Funeral Home & Cremation Service (908 Albemarle Rd, Asheboro, NC 27203). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
