She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Brown and Minnie Belle Williams Brown; her husband James Hoyt Russell; and her sister Grace Voncannon. She is survived by: her son Richard Russell of Asheboro; her granddaughters, Kaitlyn Russell of Asheboro and Sarah Potharaju (Pavan) of Durham; and her great grandchild Ellanie Potharaju.
