It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Myrtie Jane Allred of Asheboro, North Carolina, who passed away on February 18, 2026, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clayton Staley and Thelma Davis Staley; the father of her children David Monroe Baldwin; her husband Jimmy Allred; her daughter Frieda Lynn Baldwin; and her siblings, Freida Maness, Marie Setliff, Mary Magdalene Kearns, Stella Reila Godwin, Newby Staley, Reba Hussey, Clayton Eston Staley, Tula Cranford and Julia Coyala Staley.
She is survived by: her children, Jane Francena Fowler of Liberty, Lora Byrd Hutto (Tommy) of Lexington and Clarence David Baldwin (Jennifer) of Archdale; and her siblings, Myrtis Jean Cummings of Asheboro and Ralph Staley of Seagrove. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
