Pearl Weaver Pate Obituary

Pearl Weaver Pate, age 90, formerly of Asheboro, died Sunday, January 4, 2004 at Mayview Convalescent Center, Raleigh. Mrs. Pate was born February 23, 1913, the daughter of the late John Wright and the late Lillie (Flowers) Weaver. Mrs. Pate was a native of Wayne County, NC and was a graduate of Kings Business College. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Asheboro and was preceded in death by her husband, William Bill Pate, her son, William C. Pate, Jr., and her grandson, Andy Pate.

Death is not extinguishing the light, it is putting out the lamp because dawn has come. She is survived by one daughter: Mary Belle Pate of Raleigh, NC; daughter-in-law, Brenda King Pate of Asheboro, NC; Grandson & his wife, Scott & Laura Pate of Asheboro, NC; great grandson, Gage Pate of Asheboro, NC; great grandson, Dylan Pate of Asheboro, NC;great granddaughter, Megan Pate of Randleman, NC; brothers & sisters, Norma Lee, John, Huey, Lila Mae, Jimmy, And Judy The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 7, 2004 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.

The funeral will be Wednesday, January 7, 2004 at 2:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Dr. John S. Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro.
