He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Reynolds Edney and Raleigh "Rollie" Hill Edney; his son Thomas Edney Jr.; and his brothers, Ronald "Bud" Edney, Jack Bonner and Don Bonner.
He is survived by: his wife Pamela Younts Edney; his children, Pam Edney Moore (Raymond) and Monty Ray Beane (LaDonna) of Randleman; and his siblings, Susan Mull (Richard) and Joe Bonner. He is also survived by four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
