It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Velna Trogdon Shoemaker of Asheboro, North Carolina, born in Alamance, North Carolina, who passed away on May 25, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Medford Craven Shoemaker; and her parents, Carl Trogdon and Sally Leta Burgess Trogdon. She is survived by: her daughters, Penny Shoemaker and Pam Shoemaker of Ramseur; and her niece Linda Jackson (Mark) of Saxaphaw. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
