He was predeceased by: his parents, William Everett Hunt and Claudia Trotter Hunt; and his children, John Bradley Hunt, Lisa Darlene Hunt and William Randall "Randy" Hunt.
He is survived by: his wife Paulette Hunt; his children, Christina Evans (Joseph) of Asheboro, Cathy Jackson (Eddie) of Denton and Timothy Hunt of Asheboro; his sister Mary Ann Greene of Seagrove; and his grandchildren, Keith Jackson (Jody), Davin Jackson (Kathryn), Crosby Hunt (Kelsey), Tatum Hunt Cole (Elijah), Isabelle Hunt, Zebulon Hunt, Berkley Evans, Easton Evans, Braylin Evans and Everley Evans. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
