William Francis Owens Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Francis Owens (Asheboro, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 30, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though William may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those William touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William James and Frances Odom Owens; and his wife Barbara McLaurin Owens. He is survived by: his sons, William Neil Owens (Angie) of Lexington, David Wayne Owens (Alana) of Swansboro, James Steven Owens (Melinda) of Rocky Mount and Laurin Clay Owens (Lori) of Asheboro; and his sister Louise Owens Little of Randleman. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
