He was predeceased by: his parents, George Tenty and Lena Dammer Tenty. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Marie Tenty; his children, Dean Tenty of Phoenix, AZ and Dawn Rieke (Gregory) of Cypress, TX.; his grandchildren, Aaron Rieke (Natalie) of Katy, TX, Zachary Rieke (Camila) of Houston, TX, Bethany Paul (Devin) of Fulshear, TX and Ryan Tenty of Washington, D. C.; his great grandchildren, Logan, Samuel and Eleanor; and his brother-in-law Richard Stack (Geriann Mahoney). He is also survived by numerous nieces, a nephew.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mark's Lutheran Church (10 N Liberty St, Asheville, NC 28801).
