She was predeceased by: her father Horace Gates Reid; her son Addison Vann Irvin; and her brothers, Walter Joseph Reid, Hythe Addison "Pete" Reid and Horace Gates "Jerry" Reid, Jr..
She is survived by: her mother Maude Stanton Reid; and her son Ben (Peggy) of Asheville. She is also survived by six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
