With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Allyn Aldrich (Asheville, North Carolina), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Allyn left this world on May 9, 2026 at the age of 88, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. In the vast expanse of eternity, Allyn shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Allyn farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Aldrich and Virginia McIntosh Aldrich; and his siblings, Richard Aldrich and Vernice Jaeffi. He is survived by: his wife Joan Aldrich; his children, Kevin Jon Aldrich (Marla McGinnis), Eric Steven Aldrich (Mary) and Katherine Heather Jacobson Soto (Alejandro); and his sister-in-law Diana Aldrich. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 16th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Grace Episcopal Church (871 Merrimon Ave, Asheville, NC 28804).
