She was predeceased by: her husband Ted Lee Mathis; her parents, James Robert Priester and Mabel Bumgarner Priester; James Priester, Jr. (Jimmy). She is survived by: her children, Roy Vann Mathis, Annemarie Dugan of Erwin, Tennessee and Doctor Jeff Mathis of Wake Forest; her grandchildren, Laura, Brit Dugan, Zeb and Ellen Mathis; and her sisters, Pamela Priester Mayberry of Wilkesboro and Jackie Priester Gentry of Montgomery, Alabama..
