He was predeceased by: his parents, Basil McDonna Hart Jr. and Virginia Eva Crump; his grandmother Eva Crump; his aunt Rosalie DeLeon; his sister Charlotte Hart; and his great grandchild Israel Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Laverne Holloway Hart; his children, Eric Justice of Asheville, NC, Tamela Eaton of Cleveland, OH, Basil M. Hart IV of Mt. Pocono, PA and Julia Foster (Philip) of Charlotte, NC; his siblings, Susan Ellis (Dale) of Monte Claire, NJ and Marvin Hart of Flint, MI; his stepsister Linda Zuhri of Virginia Beach, VA; his stepmother Maggie Hart of Flint, MI; and his sister-in-law LyNette Lyles of Asheville, NC. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
