She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Edward Lyda and Margaret Louise Pruitt Lyda; and her husband James Edward Roberts. She is survived by: her daughters, Debbie Stewart (Terry Lee) and Karen Barlow; her grandchildren, Wendy Marie Alexander, Jason, Matthew, Ashlee Stewart and Richard Travis Barlow; and her sister Nancy "Kay" Smith. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the Groce Funeral Home - Patton Ave. (1401 Patton Ave, Asheville, NC 28806). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Woodlawn Cemetery (9 Cypress Dr, Asheville, NC 28803).
