He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlee Messer and Mary Messer; and his brother Jimmy Dale Messer. He is survived by: his siblings, Alice Donnelly (Mike) of Fairview, NC, Stephen Messer (Kim) of Fairview, NC and Joe Messer of Asheville, NC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
