He was predeceased by: his parents, George Peek and Janet Peek; his wife Ava S. Peek; and his siblings, Kay Boone and Tom Peek (Barbara).
He is survived by: his daughters, Kim P. Robinson (Jerry) of Marshall, NC, Teresa P. Hall (Dan) of Manchester, TN and Bobbie P. Thorpe of Fairview, NC; his grandchildren, Brandon Hall (Kate), Danielle Hall, Dr. Kaylib Rhinehart (Alex), Hanna Shelmire (Wesley) and Jeremiah Robinson; and his brother-in-law Charles Boone. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
