Cathis Hall Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cathis Hall of Asheville, North Carolina, who passed away on May 26, 2026 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Cathis may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Cathis touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She is survived by: her mother Lillia Hall Gaffney of Asheville; her son Chinua Hall of Belmont; her sister Patsy Hall of Durham; her nieces, Amina and Niara Baker of Durham; her great-nieces, Nalani and Kalilah Baker of Durham; her great-nephew Gabriel Berry of Durham; and her cousin Ben Hall of Asheville.
She co-led a Prayer and Praise Teleconference that started during the pandemic in 2020 and continues until today.
