It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Cecile Braswell Pons of Asheville, North Carolina, born in Lenoir, North Carolina, who passed away on January 27, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Braswell (Beach) and Daniel Braswell; and her siblings, Charles Braswell and Jane Annas (Jack Pons). She is survived by: her children, Cathy Pons of Asheville, Cynthia Baldwin of Asheville, Chris Pons of Battleboro, NC and Caron James (Doug) of Easton, MD; her grandchildren, Christopher Pons (LoraMae), Kate O'Hanlon (Edwin), Laura Pons (Felipe Estrada), Catherine Charles (Todd) and Caroline Mason (Zach Howeth); and her great grandchildren, Christopher, Jack Pons and Elliott O'Hanlon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the Employee Appreciation Fund, Aston Park Health Care Center, 380 Brevard Rd, Asheville, NC 28806, in recognition of their loving care of Cecile for the past ten years.
