He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Sylvester Dennis and Maggie Dennis; his wife Valerie; his son Charles Dennis, Jr.; his sister Margaret Ruff; his siblings-in-law, Karen Morris of Asheville, John, Charles Morris of Richmond, VA and Walter Ruff (JoAlice) of Asheville; his nieces and nephews, DaWanna Redfern and Walter Ruff (Monica); and his godchildren, Mariah Duckett of Charlotte, NC and Germon Redfern of Atlanta, GA.
A memorial service was held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Calvary Presbyterian Church (44 Circle St, Asheville, NC 28801).
