He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend John Lester Edwards and Lillie Bell Honeycutt Edwards; and his siblings, Pauline Rice, Pearl Sprinkle, Hazel Rash, Luther and Clyde Edwards.
He is survived by: his wife Stella Penland Edwards; his children, Tara McDaris (Matthew) and Jeff Edwards (Carol); his brother Reverend Eugene Edwards (Juanita); his siblings-in-law, Eulene Edwards, Barbara Edwards and Fred Rash; his grandchildren, Noah Edwards, Isaac Edwards Logan McDaris (Lyndsay) and Kinsey McDaris; his great grandchildren, Frankie and Bo Edwards; and his close friend Ronald Cole.
