He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton Kip Siler (Elizabeth Carroll Gunnin Siler) and Asheville; and his wife Dorothy "Dottie" Eatmon Siler. He is survived by: his brother-in-law Willard A. Hintz (late Betty Rankin); his niece Elizabeth "Beth" Hintz Stahl (Jim); his great-nieces, Andrea Carroll Stahl Bowers (Sean) and Elizabeth Siler Stahl Eason (Max); and his cousins, Col. James T. O'Kelley, Ronald Lee O'Kelley (Lesley), Charles Fletcher O'Kelley (Ralphael), Paula Carroll O'Kelley Labian and Jesse Richardson Siler (Rick, family: Carol Moser Quigg, Robert Moser, Jim Gunnin, John Gunnin, Robert Morecock).
