She was predeceased by: her parents, Odell Lipsey and Daisy Megan Gist Smith; her husband Isom Moss; and her brothers, Henry Smith, Isaiah Smith (Zeke) and Nathaniel Smith.
She is survived by: her son LeRoy K. Simpson; and her grandchildren, Leroy B. Simpson (Patricia), Charles A. Simpson (Veta) and Katrenna Simpson Rich (Gasper). She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews.
