She was predeceased by: her parents, Willis Hyatt and Lillian Hyatt; her daughter Melissa Mitchell; her husband Robert E. Mitchell Sr.; and her sister Catherine Brank.

She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Blankenship (Randy), Robert "Bobby" E. Mitchell Jr., April Nance (Chad) and Kim Fordham; her grandchildren, Constance "CJ" Kyle (Ryan), Dusty Blankenship (Ellie), Mitchell Nance and Will Nance; her great grandchild Charlie Rose Blankenship; and her siblings, Nancy Griffin and Robert "Bud" Hyatt (Wanda). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
