Deborah leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Deborah’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Deborah will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Beryl Lovelace and Vera Austell Lovelace; and her husband Dr. George C. Duncan, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughters, Jill McLeigh (Pete) of Charlotte, NC and Wendy Kithcart (James) of Charlotte, NC; and her grandchildren, Pearse Johnson McLeigh and Skylar Eamon McLeigh.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (40 Church St, Asheville, NC 28801).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Debbie's memory to First Presbyterian Church's Saturday Sanctuary program, National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, or the charity of your choosing.
