She was predeceased by: her parents, Collis Higgins and Onie Higgins; and her sister Margaret Kuykendall. She is survived by: her son Aaron Higgins (Jenny); her husband Basil Rice; her grandchildren, Katie, Stone, Jacob and Carter; and her siblings, James Higgins (Linda), Betty Ray (C. L.) and Beulah Wilson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at the celebration of life in Asheville, NC, to support medical expenses and end of life care.
