He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Clemmons and Ella Clemmons; and his former wife Billie Hopper Clemmons. He is survived by: his children, Christy Miller of Charlotte, Jessica Grant of Asheville, Jason Grant (Chasity) of Asheville and Michael Grant of Weaverville. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
