He was predeceased by: his mother Lena Ingle; his stepsister Ashley Johnson; and his grandparents, Theresa Vannoy, John Payne, Floyd and Mary Anne Ingle.

He is survived by: his father Darrell Keith Payne; his sons, Damien Payne and Anthony Payne; and his stepgrandmother Cora Lee Payne of Mars Hill. He is also survived by many cousins, aunts, uncles.
