He is survived by: his wife Agnes Merle Hickman; his daughters, Pamela Gibson (Alan), Cynthia Jeffords (Mark) and Angela Bassett; his siblings, Roy Ward, Sr. (Janice), Katherine Williams and Faye Core; and his sisters-in-law, Joan Pressley and Juanita Ward. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren.
