“500 characters is just not enough! Christmas in Ocracoke, NC and then our "No Ocracoke, Ocracoke" parties with James & Jane when we couldn't make it to the Island are some of my best memories. When I was at my wits end packing for a move and feeling overwhelmed I called Ed and he said "I'll be right there" and he drove down and helped me pack late into the night so when the moving truck arrived it was ready to go. Always someone I could rely on. Love you my friend!”

“Ed (aka Murphy) was one of my best friends and we had so many great times together over our 30+ year friendship. We rode our Harleys to Myrtle Beach and Daytona for Bike Week many times, as well all over the Roanoke area. One of my favorite motorcycle trips with Ed was a trip we took to New England with James and Walter. What a crazy time that was! I also helped him cater for awhile and the crew he had at Catering by Murphy was the best. We had so much fun together. I'll miss him so much!”
