With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edwin Roy Sluder (Asheville, North Carolina), who passed away on January 12, 2024 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Roy; his wife Ethel Fisher Sluder; and his brothers, Cecil and Clarence. He is survived by: his children, Joyce Plemmons (Wayne) of Weaverville and Eddie (Stephanie) of Fairview; his grandchildren, Jan Braxton (Steve) of Weaverville, Ashlee Sluder of Fairview, Jeremy Sluder of Greenville, Aubree Cauble (Cody) of Houston and Jonathan Sluder of Fairview; his great grandchildren, Austin Braxton (Kaity) of Mars Hill, Hayden Braxton of Weaverville and Meredith Taylor (Zach) of Franklin; his great great grandchild Parker Braxton; and his siblings, Dean (Dee) of Arden, Carolyn Corn of Raleigh and Barbara Waters (Bob) of Statesville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
