She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Hightower and Hester Hightower; her husband William Edward McMahan; her sons-in-law, Tony Taylor and Donald Pressley; and her grandson James Edward Brigman.
She is survived by: her children, Virginia Taylor, Elizabeth Ann Pressley and William Edward "Bud" McMahan, Jr. (Kathy); and her siblings, Edith Payne and J. T. Hightower. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
