He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Eugene Luckey and Lucille Lytle Luckey; his brothers, Jerome Luckey and Charles Luckey, Jr. (Pamilia Luckey); his son Christopher Burgin; and his grandson Christian Burgin.
He is survived by: his former wife Yolanda Smith of Greenville, SC; his daughters, Natalie Burgin of Marion, Tangela Edmunds of Asheville and Khadijah Smith of Charlotte; his sisters, Vivian Freeman of Hawaii and Minnie Sullivan of Asheville; his aunts, Coretha Lytle of Old Fort and Brenda Stewart of Charlotte; and his nieces and nephews, Menesta Williams of Charlotte, Sonja Kahawai of Hawaii, Danyual Sullivan of Asheville, Dillard Lytle of Seattle, WA and Craig Sullivan of Marion. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family.
