He was predeceased by: his parents, William McKinley Stamey, Jr. and Myrtle Lee Laughter Stamey; his sister Sondra Stamey; and his brother-in-law John Murdock. He is survived by: his siblings, Louise Murdock, William M. "Bill" Stamey, III (Debbie) and Jerry R. Stamey (Beth). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
