Grady Larry McMahan Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Grady Larry McMahan of Asheville, North Carolina. Grady, born on June 23, 1939, passed away on October 8, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rance McMahan and Pauline McMahan; his daughter Sherry Lee; and his brothers, Lewis McMahan and James "Jimmy" McMahan.
He is survived by: his wife Judy McMahan; his children, Cindy Tomblin (Roger), Pam Harris (Greg), Chris Kouchalakos (Brigid) and Bo Kouchalakos; his brother Jerry Lee McMahan; and his grandchildren, Jeff Tomblin (Andrea), Becky Dodge (Cody), Nathan Harris (Ashley), Mandy Robinson (Jackson), Alex Kouchalakos and Britney Drawdy. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Grove Stone Baptist Church (1568 Grovestone Rd, Black Mountain, NC 28711). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Riceville Fire Department or to a charity of your choice.
