It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hazel Poteat Wallace of Asheville, North Carolina, who passed away on October 16, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband James Dean Wallace; and her siblings, Wilma Parham and Joe Poteat. She is survived by: her children, Lisa Haynes (Timothy) and James Dean Wallace, Jr.; her sisters, Ann Willis (Robert) and Nell Richard; and her granddaughter Kylee Lillis (Austin). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
