She is survived by: her children, Julia McDowell-Robinson, Patrina McDowell-Mayes, Julius McDowell III, LaTanya McDowell and Prophet Allah. She is also survived by family includes 19 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
