He was predeceased by: his wife Martha Jean Norton Smith; his parents, Charles Bingham Smith and Lassie Lavada Martin Smith; his siblings, Jessie Wild, Mary Wild and Harold Smith; and his pets, Dolly and Hobo.
He is survived by: his children, Janet Lynn Ownbey, Pamela Kay Smith (Keith Stewart) and Terry Glenn Smith (Debbie); his grandchildren, Bryan Stewart (Laura), Stephanie Stewart McClellan (Shawn), Tommy Ownbey (Angela), Crystal Stephenson and Kyle Smith; his great grandchildren, Kamron, Dylan, Jason, Griffin, Owen, Morgan and Erin; and his great great grandchildren, Solomon and Brinley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
